The first class of nurses who have upgraded to registered level through an innovative eLearning programme graduated recently at AMREF's International Training Centre in Nairobi. These 98 nurses will now be qualified to treat major diseases, such as HIV, TB and malaria, which are highly prevalent in Kenya. It is a small but important step in addressing health worker shortages in the country.
